Clean Your Room, Robot Style!

Considering current trends that may shape our future, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to teach your kid a lesson or two in living an environmentally-conscious lifestyle. Robots are an item that kids, especially the boys become instantly enamored with. So how does a ‘room tidying pickup robot’ sound, as your kid’s next birthday gift?

As the master and commander…

All you need to do is guide your ‘room tidying pickup robot’ with the remote. Certain movements will be accompanied by sounds, for example stops will be signaled by skidding sounds while a beep will notify when your toy is in reverse.

As your trustworthy minion…

The robot will pick up small objects about 1 oz. in weight using the hands and the arms that you see in the picture. These include socks, toys, balls and the like. Next it will pivot its torso and dump the collected items in its cargo bay. This is achieved by a vibrating motion that will dislodge the items from the robot’s grip.

Sound effects?

Occasionally the robot will add to the amusement, saying things like “Let’s go to work,” “One step closer to a cleaner world” or “too heavy for me” if it encounters a challenge a little too tough for it.

Recommended for ages 6 and above, the pickup robot (which requires six AA batteries and three AAA batteries to operate) can be ‘picked up’ for $69.95.
