Avatar Mosaic Finished Out of 4000 Blu-ray Discs
Laura Hadland is a British artist who currently holds the Guinness record for making the biggest toast mosaic. She was invited to make another mosaic, this time out of Blu-ray discs, on behalf of 20th century fox to mark the launch of ‘Avatar: the Extended Collectors Blu-ray’.
After several hours of work (4 hours exactly) Laura, together with 4 others finished this really cool mosaic of Avatar’s iconic Navi Image. They have used 4000 blu-ray discs to complete this 9.6m by 6ms (57.6 square metres in total) artwork. Since all the discs are glued together the whole mosaic can be moved as a single unit.
