A pair of Melbourne based artists, James Goldsmith and Luke Henley, who operates under the name “GOLDENHEN”, created this beautiful house installation entirely out of repurposed egg carton and trays. According to them, the installation symbolizes the ‘Great Australian Dream’ and is modeled after a famous painting called “Family Home,Suburban Exterior 1993”, by an Australian artist Howard Arkley.

To complete the entire installation, the artists have used a total of 800 egg carton and 300 egg trays, all collected from cafés and restaurants.

The artists told us; “Egg is our totem. It represents life but also the fragility of life. EGGO is a conceptual parody on LEGO. An egg carton is the same size of a house brick, the adult equivalent of playtime. ‘The Original Dream’, the first EGGO installation exhibition in response to the Australian Dream, suburbia and urban sprawl
