Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens was started in 1994 by a talented artist called Isaiah Zagar in a vacant space located nearby his studio. Since then, this space has grown into a giant fork art environment that covers half a city block. Today the Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens includes a fully mosaiced indoor gallery and a massive outdoor labyrinthine mosaic sculpture with tunnels, grottos, multi-layered wall in a 3000 square foot area.

All the mosaiced walls and sculptures are finished from a variety of found objects and reused tiles. And, they all pay homage to Zagar’s many artistic influences, as well as the events and experiences of his life.

Currently the magic garden is a none-profit organization and a permanent art institution that is open to visitors throughout the year.
