ecoPad – Self-Powered Computer
ecoPad is a conceptual self-powered computer that hides a nano piezoelectricity film below the display. This makes the device capable of generating its own electricity every time a user presses the touchscreen. So, no charging or a separate power supply is required.
The project was designed for the ‘FUJITSU design award: a life with future computing’
competition, organized by designboom in collaboration with FUJITSU. And, it was one of seven entries that received the ‘judge’s special award’ among over 3000 participants of the competition.
